As a regular contributor to Bizsugar, I believe there are some compelling reasons why I submit my blog posts to this small business site. Despite the fact that I run a business blog, I’m certain Bizsugar has a lot to offer bloggers who don’t necessarily blog for business.

Traffic…isn’t that something every blogger can’t get enough of? That’s precisely why I’m starting off with this as the most compelling reason why I Bizsugar my blog content. My foray in to Bizsugar was quite accidental and happened much before I launched my own blog.

As a new blogger who had just begun writing on branding and small business for Noobpreneur I stumbled on the Bizsugar voting button when I was looking up my own post at the blog. Out of sheer curiosity about who had voted for my post and what they had to say I logged on to Bizsugar and was surprised by the sheer volume of small business news on the site.

I also realized that signing up as a contributor on Bizsugar would help me drive traffic to my blog whenever I started it and here I am! The opportunity to share one’s writing with so many talented writers and to drive traffic to my site were and still are primary reasons why Bizsugar is the place I want to be.

Views and Counterviews

As a blogger I started out seeking feedback and comments on my blog posts and found that those most people drew at Bizsugar were just perfect. You have people agreeing with your views and others expressing counterviews which is great!

A protective cushion that every blogger needs, one that lets him know he’s doing good work but also pointing out what’s lacking so that he can improve. One can never (or at least one should not) be complacent about the feedback that one gets from other Bizsugar contributors. They usually tell it like it is and do not hesitate to call a spade a spade.

Exposure

Building an online presence is high on every blogger’s list of priorities and a small business site like Bizsugar offers you unparalleled exposure as a blogger. It is a platform for sharing ideas and more importantly the place that exposes you to a variety of blogs and business writers who have so many ideas that could help you or at least provide inspiration.

Reaching out to bloggers from every corner of blogosphere is simple. All you need to do is grab a Bizsugar widget and you are on your way!

Self-Development

I have this compelling need to learn something new every day. The variety of topics on which people submit blog posts here on Bizsugar never ceases to amaze me. Being here is my route to self-development as an individual as well as a blogger.

From ideas, tips and motivational stories to well drafted titles, well written blog posts and superior examples of leadership and communication, I think the site has taught me a lot over the six months that I’ve been here. It has been truly enlightening and I would recommend that all contributors should use at least ten minutes every day to read some stories that might be of interest to them on Bizsugar.

Votes and a Much Needed Boost

Who doesn’t want appreciation and acclamation for their work? I do.

The votes and comments spur me on to do better and I’m always elated to see any of my posts in the Editors Pick column and sometimes as a hot topic. I was over the moon when one of my posts 8 Business Ideas Low on Investment and High on Potential made it to Bizsugars Top 10 of the Week.

A Platform for My Ideas

I’ve always been a very vocal person and somehow found writing to be the means that I can use to share my ideas with the world. As a Bizsugar contributor I feel small business sites such as these help newbies as well as established writers with a much needed platform to share their ideas.

An idea has little value unless it is translated in to reality, knowledge grows by sharing and Bizsugar is one place that helps people do this and more.

Seeking Inspiration

We all need inspiration to do different things, chase our dreams and reinvent ourselves from time to time. I’m constantly seeking inspiration for small business ideas and blog topics among strategies to do more with less. Reading the works submitted by other Bizsugar contributors for just a few minutes every day is my source of inspiration.

I have also learned a thing or two about writing great headlines and developing good content from the best contributors’ right here.

Glimpses of What’s Hot and Happening in the Business Blogosphere

Last but certainly not the least, if you are looking for a glimpse of what’s hot and happening in blogosphere you really don’t need to go anywhere else. One look at the hot topics here is enough to let you know what bloggers across the globe are talking about, using as traffic magnets, cost cutting measures, who built his blogging empire and how…basically everything that’s creating ripples in blogosphere is here!

To sign off I would say, the web has opened up so many opportunities to help people carve their niches in every sphere. Bizsugar is one of those opportunities for bloggers seeking to carve their own niches, it all depends on how you use the opportunity. It’s here so I would say use it!
